Nyack Halloween Parade

The NAC theme for this year's Nyack Halloween Parade is POP ART!

 

POP ART artists used images and icons from popular media and products. These graphic images include photos of celebrities, body parts, everyday objects like soup cans. POP ART is characterized by vibrant, bright and saturated colors. By using these vibrant colors & bold outlines, pop artworks grab the attention of the audience instantly!

 

Think Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Keith Haring, James Rosenquist or Yayoi Kusama to name a few. You could dress up as one of the artists or as one of their subject matter or anything that you feel screams POP ART!

 

We will assembly at Memorial Park in Nyack at 3 PM for the costume judging. Please allow extra time to drive to Nyack and find a parking spot - it is very crowded on parade day! We are entering in the Group Costume category. Everyone is responsible for creating their own costume. If you have a costume idea that requires multiple people, please email nyackartcollective@gmail.com and we’ll share your idea with the collective.  

The Parade will step off at 5:30 PM.
